My Math Class

This year we are continuing our math curriculum, Envision 2.0 and are so excited to delve into it with our kiddos! Envision 2.0 will focus on providing a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts and applications while strengthening computation knowledge. I am thrilled to be able to teach such an amazing and challenging curriculum to my incoming third graders!

We will be teaching the first unit of Envision 2.0 to our homeroom classes which will focus on the relationship between multiplication and division.

Our math class will be working through the Envision 2.0 curriculum at the curriculum's daily pace. We will be focusing on the main learning objective, and how to model, explain, and show our understanding. We are focusing on mastering the skill and taking the time to have discussions. If your child is struggling with a skill or topic, I will send you an email as well as make notes on their classwork so you know which problems to focus on. Please make sure to go through your child’s work in Friday Folders to look for notes from me, and see what your child is practicing and learning in class.

Students are responsible for daily math homework. Students will have math homework assigned Mondays-Thursdays, which will be due the next day. The daily math homework will be a reinforcement of skills taught in class. Your child only needs to complete the circled math problems. If your child does not complete and/or turn in his/her homework or daily classroom assignments, they will be sent home with the missing assignments on Monday of the following week. Students will then be given one week to complete the missing assignment and 1 additional point will be taken off per late assignment. No late work will be accepted after this point. Thank you for your support and reinforcement with the homework late policy. If you have any additional questions, please let me know!

I appreciate your continued collaboration with our teaching team! I am here to communicate with you regarding your child’s math performance and needs, so please feel free to email me at any time. I look forward to working with your child this year in math
