Dragon Discovery: Pingree Park & Sky Ranch Trip
Each year, our Middle School students journey to Pingree Park, Colorado State University's field station (6th and 7th Grade) and Sky Ranch (8th Grade). Flagstaff Academy is the only middle school in Colorado that moves the entire middle school to the mountains for three days of science exploration and outdoor education. Students learn the principles of field ecology, stream ecology, astronomy, wilderness hiking, and survival (including Leave No Trace principles) and engage in confidence-building activities on Pingree Park's rope course.
