About Mr. Masterson

Hi! I’m Mr. Masterson. 

 

I started teaching science at Flagstaff in 2022, and I also teach the Mythbusters and Forensic Science essentials.

 

I received my BA in Geology from CU Boulder in 2021 and got my secondary science teaching license after. I was inspired to start teaching after spending my summers helping run STEM camps, and I always love to bring that fun energy into my classroom. I think it’s important to foster creativity and curiosity in students when they learn how the world around them works, so I love to incorporate artistic activities into my curriculum alongside hands-on lab experiences.

 

When I’m not teaching, I play video games and D&D, write, draw, make music, practice Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, or cook with my partner Jay at our apartment in Boulder. I’m looking forward to an amazing year with everybody!
