Where Science and Imagination Take Flight!

Flagstaff Academy is Longmont's largest public charter school. Our school offers a tuition-free Core Knowledge curriculum for grades kindergarten through 8th. We also offer a fee-based full- and part-time preschool program on-site. Preschool students receive priority entrance into Flagstaff elementary school. 
 
Flagstaff Academy middle school is recognized as a Colorado Trailblazer Schools to Watch by The Colorado Association of Middle Level Education. Flagstaff is the only charter school in the state to hold the Schools
to Watch designation, having also received the designation in 2019. 
 
Known for a strong science and technology focus–as well as a core-knowledge curriculum–Flagstaff graduates continue to be recognized on the local, state, and national levels in science, technology, athletics, and the arts.

Middle Schoolers Participate in Maji Safi Water Walk

Flagstaff Academy middle schoolers participated in a Maji Safi Group Water Walk as part of this month's service project. Funds raised will help health care facilities in the Mara Region of Tanzania improve their water, sanitation, and hygiene conditions.

Flagstaff Academy 5th Grade Students Study Environment at Ollin Farms

On Tuesday, Flagstaff Academy 5th graders walked to Ollin Farms for a day of fun and science! Students planted veggies, learned about pollinators, investigated soil ecology, classified macro invertebrates found in creek silt, and much more. First Graders Release Praying Mantis Babies

Today Flagstaff Academy first graders released praying mantis nymphs in the greenhouse. Students learned about the mantis egg case, called an ootheca, and that mantis are carnivores that will feast on insects and pests that harm greenhouse crops.
