Battery and Dry Marker Recycling

Battery and dry marker collection boxes are located in the hallway outside the front office and in the middle school hallway. Batteries are dropped off at the Boulder County Hazardous Materials Management Facility and the markers go to Staples.

General Recycling

Flagstaff Academy partners with Eco-Cycle Boulder to bring recycling to our school. Through this partnership, we are able to employ best practices in school programming, collaborating with our administrators, school facilities managers, day/night porter crew, and staff to create a recycling system that is quick and easy to follow- and will make a HUGE difference!

Why Recycle?

  • Recycling prevents water and air pollution
  • Conserves natural resources
  • Reduces habitat loss
  • Less contribution to climate change (methane, which is produced in landfills, is the most powerful greenhouse gas)
  • Creates jobs and saves money

Recycling at Home

  • Learn what is recyclable in your curbside bin, which items are compostable, where to donate clothes and other reusable goods, places to drop off hard-to-recycle materials, and more.
  • Use reusable snack containers and water bottles
  • Choose not to have use a straw at restaurants; just say "no thank you"
