About Me

Hi everyone, I’m so excited to be at Flagstaff teaching 6th grade Math. This is my 9th year in teaching and my 8th year at Flagstaff. I am originally from Lincoln, Nebraska. GO HUSKERS! I received my Bachelors of Science degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. It was then that I discovered my passion to teach, as my Major was hosted by the College of Education. Once I graduated, I moved to Fort Collins, Colorado. After living in Colorado for a year, I began my Masters program in Elementary Education at the University of Northern Colorado. I have been a part of the St. Vrain Valley School District since I began my student teaching experience. I was drawn to Flagstaff Academy because of the rich curriculum and outstanding staff members that made me feel like family.

I enjoy teaching because I believe in being a lifetime learner. I hope to create a classroom of caring, hard-working, and unique individuals that can come together as a team and embrace their differences. I welcome hearty laughs and a healthy buzz of engaged students in my classroom. My expectations are that students will work hard, try their best, and take pride in what they produce. Your ideas or suggestions on how I can help your student succeed are always welcome!

Besides my interest in teaching, I love spending time with my friends and family. I have 2 dogs that rule my world, and my household. I love trying new foods and cooking new recipes. Movies, reading, and spending time with family and friends take up the rest of my leisure time. Lastly, I am always looking to try new hobbies or learn new skills.  Please feel free to E-mail me with any questions or concerns.  My goal is to create open communication as to ensure student success.
