About Ms. Michael
Hello! My name is Makayla Michael and I am so excited to teach third grade this year! I was born and raised here in Longmont and attended elementary, middle, and high school in the St.Vrain Valley School District. I attended the University of Northern Colorado for college and received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Special Education in 2021.
This is my second year teaching but I have previously been a part of Flagstaff Academy. I did my student teaching in kindergarten as well as being a building substitute for the end of the 2021-2022 school year. I loved being able to work with a wide variety of grades and students as a building substitute, but am grateful to be able to have my own classroom. I can't wait to meet all of my students and have a fantastic year!
