About Ms. Wood
I am so happy to be back again as a Flagstaff Dragon. I started here in 2012, then took a break in 2018 to raise my two young sons, Theo and Baxter. I grew up outside of Boston, attended Colby College in Maine where I earned a degree in Spanish and Women's Studies. I taught middle school Spanish in Savannah, GA for three years before returning to New England to be a ski instructor and apply to graduate schools.
I came to Colorado in 2010 to pursue a master's degree in Educational Psychology at CU Denver. I worked in a bilingual Elementary School and substitute taught around Boulder while studying and then began teaching at Flagstaff in 2012. When I'm not adventuring or reading with my kids, I love to hike, ski, and practice yoga. I am so looking forward to connecting with all the students and families this year.
