Mrs. Salgado, Middle School Assistant Principal

Go Dragons!

I’m honored to be part of the dedicated and supportive community at Flagstaff Academy, where collaboration, growth, and student success are at the heart of everything we do.

I have a strong passion for the middle school climate and culture, and I deeply value adolescent development during these formative years. Supporting students through this important time is both meaningful and rewarding.

I began my career teaching Middle School Physical Education in the Durango 9R School District in 2004. Since then, I’ve held positions in Adams 12 Five Star Schools and the St. Vrain Valley School District.

I hold a degree in Exercise Science with a concentration in teaching from Fort Lewis College, a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction from the American College of Education, and a second Master’s in Educational Leadership from the University of Colorado Denver. I transitioned into educational leadership in the 2021 school year and am still going strong!

Outside of school, my beautiful family is my world. I have an amazing husband and two wonderful children. I cherish our time together and love cheering on our favorite local sports teams!
