Preschool Program Schedules and Tuition

Flagstaff Academy is excited to participate in Universal Preschool (UPK) for the opportunities it will bring to our community. Families in Colorado can receive at least 15 hours per week of free, voluntary preschool for 4 year olds through the UPK program. Learn more about Universal Preschool.

Flagstaff Academy’s high-quality preschool program serves children ages 3-5, offering both part-time and full-time options. Established in 2009, our fee-based program integrates the Colorado Early Learning Developmental Guidelines with proven curricular approaches, including the Core Knowledge Preschool Sequence and Wonders Preschool Literacy.

We create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children develop essential social, emotional, and academic skills. Through play-based learning, they build friendships, explore the world around them, and discover the joy of learning. Our program also features specialized instruction in horticulture, utilizing our one-of-a-kind outdoor greenhouse classroom.

2025-2026 Preschool Programs and Tuition

Preschool Registration: $100 non-refundable fee charged upon registration

Three-year-old preschool programs (must be three years old on or before Oct. 1, 2025)

3 Days/Week (Mornings): Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 8:20 -11:20 a.m.

Private pay for 3 year olds: *$325/month or $3,250/annually (based on 10 months)

Four- and five-year-old preschool programs (must be four years old on or before Oct. 1, 2025)

5 Days/Week (Afternoons): Monday through Friday, 12:20 p.m. - 3:15 p.m.

For families participating in UPK, 5 day half day preschool is free
Private pay: $500/month or $5,000/annually (based on 10 months)

5 Days/Week (Full Day): Monday through Friday, 8:20 a.m. - 3:15 p.m.

For families participating in UPK, 15 hours of 5 day full day preschool is covered. Tuition in excess of UPK is the responsibility of the family and will be invoiced at $500/month or $5,000 annually (based on 10 months)
Additional hours may be covered at the discretion of UPK
Private pay: $950/month or $9,500/annually (based on 10 months)

To ensure placement at Flagstaff Academy, families must also apply to UPK. The state's Universal Preschool Funding pays for at least 15 hours of preschool at Flagstaff Academy, and up to 30 hours depending on qualification. Hours in excess of the free UPK hours are tuition based.

All of our staff are qualified Early Childhood Teachers as well as fully certified in CPR and first aid. We often welcome additional teachers from our elementary essentials classes to come in and teach music, technology, and science. Various outside programs from facilities such as the WOW! Children's Museum, KidSpace Launch, the Butterfly Pavilion, and the Denver Museum of Nature & Science are also brought in to help us round out our program.

We welcome our preschool families who feel comfortable sharing their customs and cultures. All elements of children's lives come together to nurture them to help learn how to problem solve, develop tools for conflict resolution, and become effective communicators.

Colorado Shines is the state's quality rating and improvement system. Colorado Shines rates Colorado's early learning programs, connects families with quality programs, and helps programs improve their quality level. It's free for programs, professionals and families to use.

We are a Colorado Shines Level 5 rated program, the highest rating for child care programs, showing our commitment to supporting children’s health and safety, ensuring our staff are well-trained and effective, providing a supportive learning environment, and helping families be active in their children’s learning. Our program is licensed and in good standing, plus it has:

conducted the Level 2 Quality Indicator Program Assessment
completed Colorado Shines Level 2 E-learning Courses
registered staff in the Colorado Shines Professional Development and Information System
