Dragon Safety Patrol

Dragon Safety Patrol membersThe Dragon Safety Patrol is geared toward Flagstaff Academy 5th through 8th grade students. The program aims to instill leadership skills, promote safety awareness, and foster a sense of responsibility within our school community. 
 
Students in the Dragon Safety Patrol assist the school safety supervisor with various responsibilities around campus, learn chain-of-command responsibilities, and serve in various leadership capacities.

Requirements:
  • Maintain a minimum 2.75 GPA.
  • Provide two staff references.
  • Commitment to PRIDE expectations.
  • Able to commit to meetings at least twice a month after school.
  • Acquire personal transportation to events at first responder facilities and off-campus Flagstaff Academy events.
  • Willing to perform duties before and after school.
  • Willing to support Flagstaff Academy events away from school.
 
Duties:
  • Assist the school safety supervisor as needed.
  • Monitor and assist the crossing guards.
  • Assist with morning and afternoon driveline as needed (under adult supervision).
  • Patrol school grounds during school hours (middle school only).
