Boys Basketball
Flagstaff Academy boys basketball runs from October to November each year. Teams play other SVVSD district middle schools with the goals of developing teamwork, sportsmanship, and leadership.
The 2026 Season runs from Tuesday, October 6- Monday, Nov. 16
Registration Information
Boys Basketball Registration opens Monday, September 21st
New this Year: Online registration through Bloomily!
Students in 8th grade are given priority registration. If spots remain, registration will be opened to 7th grade students, and then 6th grade students until the roster is full. We are utilizing a waitlisted option with registration time/date stamp and will notify parents through email when the waitlist moves to on the team for 7th and 6th graders. There are no try outs. Boys Basketball is open to anyone, regardless of experience. Our roster is limited due to space and district policy of priority for 8th graders and playing time to prepare for high school.
How to Register
- Online Registration is happening this year! Please be patient with the process as we continue to work out the kinks.
- Click on the Online Basketball Registration button below to access the Flagstaff Bloomily website where you will see MS Athletics Program Options.
- Registration and SVVSD Permission forms will be completed through the Flagstaff Bloomily App
- 8th graders - you will register and pay all at the same time - once this is completed you are "on the team".
- 7th/6th graders - you will register and go on a waitlist. Parents will be notified by email and need to respond and pay to be on the team. 7th graders will have the first waitlisted option, then it will move to 6th graders if there are roster spaces available.
- While we wish we could accommodate all athletes, we do have limited space for practice and per district policy 8th graders have game playing priority. I do hope to add a couple of scrimmage games to the schedule this season with other charter schools outside of our district.

Practice Schedule
Afternoons: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursdays 3:30 - 5:00 p.m.
Optional Morning Shoot Arounds: Tuesdays, 7:00 - 7:45 a.m., Possibly Thursdays 7:00 - 7:45 a.m.

Financial Assistance
Families needing financial assistance should first apply for the district's Free & Reduced Education Benefit, if not already completed. Please also check the "notify my school box" on the form. Families must also complete the Athletics Financial Assistance Form. Acceptance into the free/reduced lunch program ensures free registration for athletics.
