About Ms. Moskoff

You are starting middle school and with that probably comes questions, concerns, and maybe even some fears. You are not alone. Ask any other 6th grader and they'd either agree or be too shy to respond. My task as your Language Arts teacher is to not only equip you with the knowledge needed to successfully move into 7th grade, but to also support you through the transitions middle school brings. Together we will explore Greek mythology, Charles Dickens, Julius Caesar, Homer, poetry, and of course, incorporate writing as we go.

I cannot wait to get to know each and every one of you, but it would only be fair if you also got to know me. Briefly, I have been in education since 2007.  My work began at a Waldorf preschool and then transitioned to Flagstaff when I became a substitute teacher. I was soon hired as the special education paraprofessional and later as the 6th grade language arts teacher. I earned my master's in education and have been applying my knowledge and craft ever since.  I am the mother of two. My son graduated from the first Flagstaff Academy class that started as kindergartners. My daughter graduated Flagstaff a few years ago and is now attending Colorado University. When I am not at Flagstaff, I can be found reading the latest YA novel or recommended read from my friends and family. Everyone needs to get their nose out of the books sometimes, and when I do I am in the great outdoors. It doesn't matter what I'm doing, whether it be hiking, boating, or skiing; it is the sunshine I am after.

This is going to be a great year and with the support of the middle school team, your family, and your courage to do your best, you WILL succeed!
