Flagstaff Academy "Hero Squad" Joins with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to End Cancer!

Dragon Pride
Flagstaff Academy's January Service Project will benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Hero Squad(formerly known as "Pennies for Patients") and which is now completely virtual! Part of the school's Dragon PRIDE program and tied into character education lessons and actions, January's PRIDE Core Virtue is Dependability.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Hero Squad Program works with thousands of schools across the country to raise funds for blood cancer research and patient support services. Flagstaff Academy has partnered with LLS to take on the mission of ending cancer once and for all.

Led by the school's National Junior Honor Society, the goal is to raise $2021 and the effort runs through January 31, 2021.

Flagstaff Academy is committed to serving the greater Longmont community through the school's PBIS monthly service projects which have included benefitting the OUR Center of Longmont, Longmont Meals on Wheels, creating holiday cards for area nursing homes, and thank you cards and banners for first responders. This year, the PBIS team of teachers, staff, and administration have included NJHS students to help them satisfy their community service hour requirements and community-driven leadership opportunities.
