Announcing the first annual Flagstaff Family 14er Hike. The inaugural hike is to the summit of Mt. Sherman, a Class One 14er in Fairplay, CO. Come challenge yourself, enjoy Colorado's mountains, and make unforgettable memories with fellow Dragon families!

Date: Saturday, September 12, 2026
Time: 7:30am
Where: Meet at the Fourmile Creek Trailhead
Who: Open to Flagstaff students ages 8+. Must be accompanied by a parent or guardian
Hiking Distance: 5.25 miles round trip
Elevation Gain: 2,100 feet
Summit: 14,043 feet
Important Notes:
*Space is limited to just 18 participants and will be filled first come, first served. We will establish a waitlist thereafter.
*Hikers are responsible for providing their own transportation, hiking gear, food & water.
*There will be three trip leaders for this hike. Each group will have six hikers + a leader. The leaders have significant experience climbing 14ers in Colorado (over 60 summits combined) and have all successfully summited Mt. Sherman from the Fourmile Creek Trailhead.
