The Flagstaff PTO organizes a few summer play dates at Longmont parks before school starts specifically for new kids to the school. Parents and kids getting to know each other before the school year begins makes the transition to kindergarten, preschool or a new school so much easier, and it is a great opportunity to learn about and get involved with the Flagstaff community.

Play dates are fun and casual, don't forget to bring snacks, drinks, sunscreen...and smiles to meet new friends! Experienced Flagstaff parent and PTO reps will be present to answer questions about the school, provide volunteer opportunities to satisfy the school requirement (30 hours per family), what to expect before school starts/the first week, etc.

Here are the dates and locations:

June 19, 10 am to 12 pm - Collyer park (North shelter)
July 9, 10 am to 12 pm - Sandstone Ranch (shelter - E4)
Aug 1, 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm - Left Hand Creek Park (East shelter)

Look for Flagstaff's poster at the park to meet new families, PTO committee member and you may even bump into your kid's teacher!
