About Ms. Baker
My name is Janice Baker and I love working with Kindergarteners! I am originally from upstate New York but have lived in Boulder since 1989. I moved out here after taking a family vacation to Colorado and falling in love with all the area has to offer. I have twins (boy/girl) who are 25 years old and recent graduates from The University of Colorado, Boulder and Colorado State University. I enjoy spending time with family, traveling, reading, and doing crafts and scrapbooking.
I have been in education for over 30 years working in a variety of educational settings with children ranging in age from 2 to 10 years old. This is my fifth year at Flagstaff Academy, I started as a Kindergarten and 1st-grade paraprofessional, and prior to that, I was a Kindergarten Enrichment teacher in Boulder Valley School District for 11 years. I am very excited to continue at Flagstaff Academy for my fourth year as a teacher with the Kindergarten team.
