Flagstaff Academy Greenhouse Featured in Two Local Papers!

Flagstaff Academy's Geodesic Dome Greenhouse classroom, the only one in Boulder County, has been featured in two area publications. Boulder Organic Magazine included the school's unique program and curriculum in an article focusing on school gardens, and the Longmont Times Call included how Flagstaff Academy is part of the growing Slow Food movement in area schools.

Flagstaff Academy's Greenhouse classroom is the only such classroom in the St. Vrain Valley School District, as well as the only Charter school in Colorado. This unique learning space, with an aquaponic garden and live koi, provides every student from kindergarten through 8th grade with a hands-on experience that corresponds with our science curriculum.  The Greenhouse Classroom is located in an organic garden courtyard, which all students get to plant and tend, as well as enjoy the fruits of the harvest, and is run by a full time Greenhouse manager/teacher.
