Our summer camp calendars are posted under our main summer camp page. Please note that activities shown on the calendars may change without notice. We will do our very best to communicate to registered families when a change is made.
For your convenience, we offer online registration for all Dragon Flight programs. Be prepared to enter four emergency contacts (name, phone number, address), as well as the name and contact information for your child's doctor, dentist, and hospital preference.
If your child is registered for full-time and/or part-time summer camp and does not attend, you will be charged for the day of care. For specialty camps, cancellations must be made prior to May 1 in order to receive a full refund.
We understand that children get sick (a lot), but for the health of our school community and our staff we do not provide sick care. If your child is sent home from school for vomiting, fever, or diarrhea, they may not return for after school Dragon Flight. Dragon Flight follows the same 24-hour sickness free rule as the school.
If your child is on medication, Dragon Flight requires parents to complete the appropriate Medical Form and submit it to the Dragon Flight director prior to the child attending Dragon Flight. We always have at least one person on staff that is Medication Administration certified. All staff members are CPR/First Aid and Standard Precaution certified as well.
We will apply sunscreen and bug spray as needed with parent permission. If you wish to provide your own brand of sunscreen or bug spray for your child, please discuss your child's individual needs with the Dragon Flight director.
The registration fee is the same for all campers, regardless of whether they already hold a season pass to Elitch Gardens. The Elitch Gardens season pass is a small percentage of the cost we incur to offer our teen camp.
When arriving in the morning, please text the Dragon Flight phone at (720) 442-6023 with your child's name to let us know that you have arrived. Please then walk your child to the vestibule doors on the north-west side of the building.
When picking up, parents are asked to text (720) 442-6023 with their child's name and be prepared to show a photo ID. Dragon Flight staff will sign each student out to their parents. Please meet your child at the vestibule doors. For questions, please contact Jeanna Peppler at (303) 217-6764 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please send the director an e-mail with the name of the authorized person, even if the person is on the authorized pick up list. Please tell the authorized pick-up person to bring their ID in with them. You may give them your code to access the building, but please remind them that they are not to share it with your child.
Flagstaff Academy and Dragon Flight utilize a multi-tiered Restorative Practices approach within the school's culture that is embraced by the school leadership, staff, and students. The result of this approach is a community that is committed to self-responsibility, self-discipline, and self-awareness of how our words and actions impact one another.
