Dragon Tales

A few times a year, we'll be featuring one of our Dragon Alumni. If you'd like to be featured, please email us at [email protected] so we can let our Dragon community know the good things you're up to! The pieces will be featured on our website and in social media, as well as in our marketing materials.
Go Dragons!
Our graduation alumni high school seniors are hitting it out of the park! Take a look at the following #DragonAlum success stories:
Linlee Morrison, (class of 2014), a freshman at Colorado School of Mines, was recently recognized by the Colorado Youth Corps Association, for her outstanding contributions to "conserving Colorado's natural resources on behalf of the Boulder County Youth Corps." Linlee is studying electrical engineering. Read more about the story here
Ryan Velarde, a freshman at Erie High School, is part of a new science-based club at Erie High School called the S.M.A.R.T. team, which stands for Students Modeling A Research Topic. Students work as teams to understand a molecular story and to design and build a physical model of a protein that is the focus of a research project. Students ultimately work to design proteins, 3D print the proteins, and present the story of their work to members of academia. The ultimate goal of the team is to present their work in the National Competition. To learn more about S.M.A.R.T. teams, click here
Isabella (Bella) Wolf, (class of 2017) and Tessa Moskoff (class of 2018) competed in the 2019 Fencing Junior Olympics. Their team placed 4th in the Junior Women's Team Epee event.
