Welcome to Mrs. Taylor's 8th Grade Science Class
Welcome to 8th grade Science with Mrs. Taylor. Thank you for visiting my teacher website! I am very excited for the 2021-2022 school year at Flagstaff Academy! After teaching for three years at Flagstaff Academy, I moved to England for the last three years. In England, I taught science to middle school and high school students in the seaside town of Littlehampton. In addition, I met my wonderful husband and became Mrs. Taylor. This will be my fourth fabulous year teaching 8th Grade Science at Flagstaff Academy. My teaching experience in England and Colorado has taught me so much about teaching science and helping students grow into young adults.
I enjoyed my time in England getting to know the students, traveling, meeting new people and 
trying new things. I am extremely excited to get back to Colorado. I love the outdoors where I can hike, bike and run. I am a proud Colorado Buffalo Alumna graduating from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry and a minor in Geology. Additionally, I received my teaching certificate and license in Elementary and Secondary Science through CU. Recently, I graduated again from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis on STEM Education. I love diving into science and getting dirty exploring the world up close. I am looking forward to working with the wonderful students and families at Flagstaff again where I can focus on my passion, Science!
