Flagstaff Academy's award-winning middle school has been recognized for the second time as a 2022 Colorado Trailblazer School to Watch! Flagstaff Academy is one of five middle schools in the state to receive this award, and the only charter school in the state of Colorado to be chosen as a School to Watch!
Middle School represents a critical time in a student's life - academically, socially, and developmentally. Flagstaff Academy's Middle School is a close-knit community where every student is known, and supported to reach their highest potential through rigorous classes There are plentiful leadership opportunities and a connected social environment. Middle school opportunities at Flagstaff Academy include:
- An annual trip to Colorado State University's Pingree Park trip
- High school-level computer programming classes
- 1:1 Chromebook Program
- A wide variety of "essentials" (electives)
- Character Education
- Sports programs and clubs
Flagstaff Academy Middle School promotes, values, and recognizes academic achievement, creativity, and character education, with a strong focus on Restorative Justice. As a St. Vrain Valley School District public charter Middle School, students are able to participate and compete in district sports as members of Flagstaff Academy's after-school sports teams. Our Middle School students are very active in student council, in our National Junior Honor Society Chapter, and most go on to become honors-award students in area high schools.
